Individual Therapy
Individual therapy provides a space for people to slow down and better understand patterns in mood, behavior, relationships, and daily life.
With preteens and teens, this often happens through play, conversation, shared activities, or noticing patterns over time, rather than through intentional self-reflection alone. With adults, it may include more direct reflection and meaning-making.
Session structure
Session length is typically 60 minutes. Extended sessions are available in 30-minute increments at your agreed-upon rate when scheduled in advance, which can be especially helpful for relational or deeper trauma work.
Family & caregiver involvement
When helpful, therapy may also include parents, caregivers, or important supports, so the work can extend beyond the therapy room.
With preteens and teens, I encourage ongoing communication so we can support your child together. Parent sessions are optional, but often helpful when navigating relational, behavioral, or emotional challenges. These sessions typically involve parents or caregivers meeting with me without the child present, to support further understanding and coordination.
