About

Hi! I’m Shoshana‍ ‍MA, LMHC (she/her/hers)

I’m a therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting preteens, teens, and adults in outpatient, community, and intensive family-based settings. My work is grounded in understanding how early experiences, relationships, and ongoing environments shape emotional, relational, and behavioral patterns over time.

Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, I tend to think about them as meaningful adaptations that develop in response to stress, attachment experiences, neurodevelopmental differences, and broader environmental contexts. My work centers on helping people understand these patterns in context and begin to shift them in ways that feel more flexible and supportive.

Affirming Identities & Values

I am Jewish and neurodivergent, and I affirm people who identify as queer, neurodivergent, or part of other identities, communities, and lived experiences that have been systemically marginalized. I approach therapy from an anti-oppressive, body-affirming, and inclusive perspective. This includes attention to identity, difference, and systemic context, while centering safety, autonomy, and collaboration.

Experience & Training

I hold a B.S. in Applied Science with a minor in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Stout (2012) and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (2018).

My clinical experience spans:

  • Treatment centers for children, adolescents and adults

  • Sober living and halfway housing programs

  • In-home intensive family therapy

  • Outpatient therapy

I am formally trained in DBT, MST, TF-CBT, and SFBT, and have pursued independent study in systems and liberation theories, early developmental frameworks, somatic work, and depth psychology.

I look forward to supporting you in understanding yourself more deeply, shifting long-standing patterns, and building more connection and ease in your life.
