About
Hi! I’m Shoshana MA, LMHC (she/her/hers)
I’m a therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting preteens, teens, and adults across a variety of settings. I focus on helping people notice the patterns that shape their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships, and how past and present experiences influence how we respond to life’s challenges.
Therapy with me is collaborative and curiosity-driven. Together, we explore recurring patterns, make sense of coping strategies, and practice new ways of responding over time. Sessions may involve conversation, skill-building, somatic or creative exercises, and play-based approaches, especially when working with children.
Affirming Identities & Values
I am Jewish and neurodivergent, and I affirm people who identify as queer, neurodivergent, or part of other communities that experience marginalization. I approach therapy from an anti-oppressive, body-affirming, and inclusive perspective, bringing awareness of identity, difference, and systemic context into therapy while centering safety, autonomy, and collaboration.
Experience & Training
I hold a B.S. in Applied Science with a minor in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Stout (2012) and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (2018).
My clinical experience spans:
Treatment centers for children, adolescents and adults
Sober living and halfway housing programs
In-home intensive family therapy
Outpatient therapy
I am formally trained in DBT, MST, TF-CBT, and SFBT, and have pursued independent study in systems and liberation theories, early developmental frameworks, somatic work, and depth psychology.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward understanding, connection, and meaningful change.
