My Approach
While I tend to draw from various therapy modalities, I consider myself a trauma-oriented relational therapist. What this means is that I perceive both the client and therapist to be living with effects of events and dynamics that shape who and how we are. With this lens, we will explore underlying effects of stress, loss or grief, trauma, and neurodivergence, identify how this is impacting you and your nervous system, and practice new skills and strategies to create change.
All of this work is done while I am prioritizing great care of the relationship between you and I. I will often check in, ask for feedback, and even use our connection as an example of how patterns may be playing out. To encourage comfortability further, I will often show up to session wearing a band shirt and drinking coffee. I absolutely encourage snacks, drinks, and fidgets.
